Android API to play video streaming via VPU

Customer using i.MX6 Dual Lite with Android 8 and use Firefox to access WebRTC (https://appr.tc).

Customer found it has some lag while running and would like to write application (Android app) themselves.

Which Android API can be used to make sure the H.264 video streaming data can be decode by VPU hardware accelerator?

for android 8, you can try to use Nuplayer, which replace OMXPlayer in the android 8
