Hi all,

We're trying to use i.MX Windows 10 IoT 1.4.0 with – 8MPLUSLPD4-EVK.

We particularly expected the following comments.

It's on the P2 of release note.

"8MPLUSLPD4-EVK: The size of SDRAM was increased to 6 GB"

However, the comments in the release notes and the results of our trials were different as below.

kohey_0-1680509700984.png

In our evaluation only 2.5GB was available as 3.5GB of the 6GB was reserved.
The windows10.0-kb5019275-arm64 specified in the release notes has been applied, but with the same results as v1.3.
Of the 6GB, 3.5GB is reserved, so only 2.5GB is available.

I have confirmed that windows10.0-kb5019275-arm64_ c6c2abc31137d43e762304bd1542ba413d2b8b9e.msu is applied.

Are there any precautions that should be taken when doing the evaluation?
Otherwise please provide BINARY available 6GB in 8MPLUSLPD4-EVK.

Hi @ko-hey ,

Here I attached FW providing 6GB patch for i.MX8M Plus EVK board. In case the customer is not able to reach 6GB of RAM, could they send serial debug log from boot?

Hi Ho-hey:

Really thanks for your comment,

But I applied the patch to my 8gb-ram device (BSP1.4.1),

It displays 4-gb RAM totally and within 484MB reserved.

it's weird.

You said only 2.5GB was available in your side. Are you using the default build images, no modify somethings?

Does the "default build images" refer to the image built according to the User's guide?

If so, the answer is Yes.

Because the NOTE of Release note say, "This change requires windows10.0-kb5019275-arm64_
c6c2abc31137d43e762304bd1542ba413d2b8b9e.msu to be installed. The patch is applied in
the installation script (make-winpe-enterprise.cmd) by default. ".

So I think it can use it by default.
