Does Freescale have a UBOOT and LTIB source & binaries that can be used for a demo / demos?

Any issues known using CentOS Linux as host Linux?

I am looking for a non TImeSYS based version of UBOOT AND LTIB.

Will the Automotive Vybrid platform and UBOOT be available?

If not, can I get access to the final schematics/layout files and UBoot as an alternative to Tower board?

Phytec board is possible alternative and I am evaluating at present.

Terry,

Linux support for Vybrid is provided exclusively by Timesys. You will not see a general kernel release for Vybrid from Freescale.

All the best.

Emcraft Systems will support U-boot and Linux for the Vybrid VF5 and VF6 devices. Software distribution is available from Emcraft's web site at registration:

www.emcraft.com/som/vf6#software

The hardware plartform is the Emcraft VF6 System-On-Module, using a Tower-compatible development baseboard:

Hi Terry,

I can only answer for the u-boot questions; sorry.

Last time I checked the support for Vybrid had not made it to DENX "mainline" u-boot but it was already in the imx "custodian" tree:

  git://git.denx.de/u-boot-imx.git

  (master branch)

The config you want is vf610twr.

Best regards,

V.

Hi,

Mainline u-boot now has support for Vybrid. FYI I adapted a quick document on the topic.

Best regards,

V.
