Dear support,

Does the setup of MR3 from MR0 of DDR3 described it in RM?

I want to know it.

In addition, is there the material for setup DDR3?

DDR3 spec

ISSI

part number: IS46TR16640

access speed: 800Mbit/s

clock: 400Mhz

http://www.issi.com/WW/pdf/43-46TR16640A-81280A-16640AL.pdf

Should I set the ISSI memory in MR0-3?

Best regards,

Keisuke

Dear Keisuke,

  • They are described in the "34.6.9 Writing Mode Registers" section.
  • The IS46TR16640 component, as any standard DDR3 one, does need these registers to  be configured - see "2.3.1 Programming the Mode Registers" section in its datasheet.
  • As of now, we do not have a special document for the Vybrid product describing details of the DDR3 configuration. You may use a document for another processor (http://www.freescale.com/files/32bit/doc/app_note/AN4039.pdf), specifically the generic "1 Configuration guidelines" section.
  • And the "DDR3 Design Considerations for PCB Applications" generic one as well (http://www.freescale.com/files/training_pdf/VFTF09_AN111.pdf).

Sincerely, Naoum Gitnik.
