For the Global Fresscale Cup, is an extra servo motor allowed to be installed to the car model? Thanks.
Yes, as long as it is not the steering servo. That must be the original. If you want a secondary servo, to do like a panning camera that is acceptable.
Thanks for the info!
Dear organizers,
In the Global Freescale Cup 2013, will all the participating teams use the same car models (two driving DC motors on the drive train)?
Thanks.
Same car models. (Yes, that is the one with the dual (two) DC motors on the drive train.)
Dear organizers,
For the race track, besides the slope, will there be any other obstacles (e.g. bumpy road, tunnel, etc)?
Thanks.
The tunnel will not be used in the 2013 global challenge. Bumps, curves, and any other piece covered here: https://community.freescale.com/docs/DOC-1092 will be used. The exact layout will not be released to teams until race day.
Thank you for the info!!
Hi,
The thread of our steering linkage was damaged during the assembly. Is it possible that we replace it with the aftermarket one?
This is the link showing the product.
3mm x 35mm Titanium Turnbuckle Turnigy TD10 4WD Touring Car (2pc)
This is the closest one we could find at the local hobby store.
Thanks.
Please use the official replacement part for the race. (I will be sure to bring one for you!) This should be a fairly easy fix on-site before the racing begins.
Hi John,
Thanks for the reply! In the meantime, we have asked our regional organizers for the replacement parts. Hope we can get it on time!! Once again, thanks!!
Dear organizer,
In the rules section 7. number 2.b it is stated that "The race car fails to stop 3 meters/ 9 feet after crossing the finish line [+1 second]".
If the car stops less than 3 meters after crossing the finish line, but unfortunately it is out of the track, is it still considered as foul?
(the direct distance of the car stop point to the finish line is less than 3 meters and the car trajectory length from the finish line is less than 3 meters)
Thanks
Let's address that question at the Aug. 22nd rule review meeting.
Because of typhoon in taiwan, our flight on aug. 21st is canceled. We can not arrive at harbin on Aug. 21st may be on Aug. 22nd night.
Could you address this question in the rule review meeting?
