My build scripts use 5.9.0 code warrior. Till now I am running them on XP but I would like to upgrade my build laptop to windows 7. Can I use 5.9.0 on windows 7 ?
Hi Apurva,
V5.9.0 is not a development tool version but the version of the IDE which is a tool as compiler or debugger.
The IDE V5.9.0 is used for several CodeWarrior Development tool chain.
Depending of the product you can or not install the tool direclty on Win 7 OS.
By default there is no real issue to build the project under Win 7 OS.
Most of the time if it could have an issue it's linked to the debugger and the interface used.
We answered several similar questions at Classic/Legacy CodeWarrior box.
You should find the info you need ... let me know exactly the tool version used, interface, ...
About the license file.
By default the license file should wok fine too.
However you could have a problem if you're using USBDongle key.
The USBdongle is not fully supported with some versions due to a driver incompatibility.
Excepted this point, the license file should work.
Have a great day,
Pascal
