I downloaded my copy of CW V6.3 SE some time ago when the C code limit was 32K. If I understand correctly, the C code limit for this product is now 64K. Do I have to take any action to ensure that my copy will now support the larger limit? i.e. do I have to download a completely new version, a new patch, a license file, etc.?
I am presently working on a project for an S08 target, and the code may in fact exceed 32K so I would like to take steps now to ensure I don't end up against the earlier limit.
Tnx for the help.
Pete
PS. I originally posted this question in the CW Legacy area but received no replies. Maybe the Licensing area is more appropriate?

Hi Bigmac,
The special edition Software does not have a license file like you suggest. If you have purchase a CodeWarrior suite you will be able to download the License file, but in this case you will need to download the new 6.3 file from the web.
Regards,
I am now a little confused. The link on the web page that you previously referenced does contain the link to "CW MCU v6.3 Special Edition license", and when the "license.dat" file is downloaded, it also contains reference to "V6.x Special Edition" within its heading, and also makes mention of the 64K code limit.

Hello Jorge,
I notice that you are suggesting that the complete CW Special Edition 6.3 installation be downloaded, a huge 460Mb file. Would it not suffice to download only the new licence file (1.5Kb), available as a separate download? This file appears to cater for the new 64K code limit.

Mac

George and Mac:
Thank you both for your input. Now that I have a better idea of how code size is controlled, I found that my installed version of CW 6.3 SE already has the 64K licensing file installed. Not sure how it got there (update, maybe) but it is there. Guess I am good to go.
