Will a 12V voltage supply kill a MPX5050 pressure sensor? Or, will it only effect the reading of the pressure?

Hi Jia Gao,

The required voltage supply for the sensor should be between 4.75V and 5.25V, powering the integrated sensor at different voltage (12V in this case) than the specified in the datasheet can probably not kill the pressure sensor (I cannot warranty that) but is not recommended because the offset, temperature coefficient of offset (TCO) and temperature coefficient of span (TCS) trim will be invalidated and will affect the sensor accuracy and veracity.

Have a great day,
