Do we get problems from patents of third party companies when we use this module(FXOS8700CQ) in combination with the sensor fusion library?
Especially from the calibration algorithm?
Hello Mike,
this means that if we use this sensor commercially with NXP's software, we would not get any problems with third-party protection rights.
Can you confirm this or give me a contact with which our patent attorney can make contact?
Thanks
Lukas,
The proper legal contact would be Mark Patrick (Mark.Patrick@nxp.com) in our "IP Counseling and Global IP Defensive Matters" team. Mark will probably contact me as the technical expert on the library, and I'll tell him what I told you: I'm unaware of any patent issues that would prevent our customers from using this software.
If you haven't already, you should read the software license contained in the NXP Sensor Fusion User Guide for terms and conditions.
Regards,
Mike
I am aware of no patent issues at all.
