I'm in the military and trying to use a computer with US Government/Military CAC cards.

My machine is currently configured with a PR5331C3HN/C370E

1. Is this reader compatible with a military ID card (CAC)

2. could I get an updated driver for this reader

3. if this reader is not compatible with military CAC is there another reader that is compatible with my machine. I'm currently working on a Panasonic toughbook CF33

Thank you in advance.

Hi @kalimadragon ,

Actually I have no idea about the RF protocol that the US Government/Military CAC cards supports, but PR5331C3HN supports the PCD mode for FeliCa (212 kbps and 424 kbps),ISO/IEC14443 Type A and B (from 106 kbps to 848 kbps), MIFARE (106 kbps), B' cards(106 kbps), picoPass tag (106 kbps) and Innovision Jewel cards (106 kbps), so if the cards follows either of the above standards, there should be no problem. and you may find all the materials for development in https://www.nxp.com/confidential/PR533_PSP_261713 .

Hope that helps,

Have a great day,
Kan
