What's the suggested value for FOPT of S32K1XX

Hi Support:

I have saw some questions and discussion about FOPT value in S32K1XX, but really when 0x7F is set in FOPT, the 0x400-0x40F couldn't be read back for verification.

Since old version 0N77P  FOPT bit 7 has meaning, so FOPT is set to 0x7F, but latest 0N57U has reserved bit, so still suggest set 0x7F?

What's improper condition will lead to 0x400-0x40F couldn'r read back? Flash voltage or timming?

Hi Dawei,

As you said on old version 0N77P bits 7-6 were used for BOOT SOURCE SELECT, but now for the new mask-set these bits are "Reserved for future expansion".

The reserved bits should be left in the erased state on the new mask-sets.

So, the question is the same as we can see in this thread. How are you performing register read eventually write?

Have you seen any error flag in the FSTAT register?

thanks for reply.

Actually this question is asked by one MCU flasher manufacturer, they use SWD to program customer's Srec file, not like software developper.

As you said, since 0N57U suggests FOPT as oxFF, but latest s32DS 3.3 still use 0x7F as defult value.

However I ever program suspicious image into S32K EVK(0N47), no similiar issue is seen, so I will check with them further.
