S32K144EVB not entering OpenSDA bootloader mode

Hi,

I am trying to load OpenSDA Application as mentioned in the Quick Start Guide.

But, when booting by press and holding SW5 switch, EVB is not entering to bootloader mode. I am not able to see the BOOTLOADER volume.

Jumper Settings:

J104 [1-2]

J107 [2-3]

Tried with Windows 10 and 7 OS's.

Any other way to enter bootloader mode?

With Regards,

Vasanth.

Hi

I'd suggest to check if SW5 push button is ok. I personally experienced faulty one already on this board.

To test it just connect the board to USB and press RESET SW5 button. You should able to see red reset LED (D1) lighting.

Thanks so much! That was exactly the problem. Wow, these are really dodgy tactile switches, I gotta tell you. I had noticed the one next to the reset wouldn't snap, but I didn't pay much attention to it. Gotta replace them all.

Man, this thread is 4 years old. Apparently the problem persists.

Hi Stan,

Thanks for your response and sorry for the late confirmation.

When I pressed SW5 button LED (D1) was not lighting. I tried pressing the SW5 button when the board is ON for long time and then LED (D1) start lighting slowly.

Once LED (D1) is light fully, I removed the USB and connected again.

I am now able to see BOOTLOADER volume and loaded OpenSDA Application.  Thanks again.

With Regards,

Vasanth.
