S32K series MCU VOL Level

Dear Team,

Could you please support us to get an answer for the below question.

1. What is the Digital output Low (VOL) for this MCU?

GPIO output from the MCU is connected to an IC which is expecting input voltage less than 0.5V to detect the Low level.

I could see in the S32K series datasheet that the VOL voltage is mentioned as VOL <= 0.7V which is the Maximum Value.
I understand that the actual VOL will be dependent on the current draw and the type of pin being used (Standard, Standard-Plus, Medium, Fast).
I Am not sure how to ensure the VOL (MCU) is less than the VIL max of other devices.
Is it right to consider it as a Linear function and take the Actual VOL value using below formula
VOL (MCU) = (Actual Current per Pin / Rated Current of each Pin) x VOL Max.
Considering VOL Max = 0.7V.

Hi @Sreelakshmi,

At low currents, the characteristic is more or less liner.

Refer to AN2434 Input/Output (I/O) Pin Drivers on HCS12 Family MCUs.
