Pull-Up Resistor at GPIO Pin

Hi,

I am using FS32K148UJT0VLUT Controller in my Project. The GPIO current drive is 20mA and less than that.

In one of the application we require a current drive of more than 20mA (around 50mA max). So, we thought of adding the external pull up resistor at the end of the GPIO pin which will give the more current drive to the DUT in use.

So, I wanted to know if we can add the pull up resistor at the end of the Push Pull or Open drain transistors.

The idea behind the current drive is added in the attachments, please do reply to the query asap.

Regards
