Hi , all

How to set  S32K3_Host debug permanently disabled?
In HSE_B RM, it is possible to disable JTAG. 1.png

In S32K3 RM - UTEST,  i can't find any more information.  2.png

Unfortunately, It cannot be disabled, only ADKP (Application Debug Key/Password) protected.

Hi Xianlong,

If you have any question about the HSE_B FW, please create a ticket as the documentation is under NDA.

The information below is taken from the S32K3 RM.

Without the HSE FW, the MCU can be password protected:

This can be done at CUST_DEL Life Cycle stage only.

Once the Life Cycle is advanced, the MCU is password protected.

With HSE FW:

Please refer to HSE DEMO APP.

Daniel

hello, i also have a same question about this.

as you said, if I set/advance the LC status to OEM_PROD or IN_FIELD without provision ADK/P and also didn't enable HSE.

what will be happen? Dose it means that the JTAG debug shall be permanently disabled?

As I understand it, NXP deleted the relevant bit description in the DCM register, DCMDEB register- HSE_APP_DIS_FLD, HSE_DBG_EN_FLD, HSE_APP_DIS_OEM and HSE_DBG_EN_OEM bitfields are removed.

Disable debug can only be implemented using HSE-H, that is, paid version HSE.(in HSE_B I saw the API,but can not use)

Otherwise, only password protection can be used for authentication.
