External Reset Circuit on S32K14x

Hi NXP Team,

     I want to add External RC circuit for nRESET Pin. Kindly suggest for 5V VDD,  how to calculate the RC value.

Hi @SK_Valeo,

Vih, Vil and RPU (internal weak pullup) are specified in the DS, Table 19.

Please refer to AN5426: Hardware Design Guidelines for S32K1xx.

Section 4.1.1 External pin RESET.

"The values of the pull up resistor and the capacitor must be selected according to the design requirements of the application. Refer to the device datasheet for the minimum RESET pulse value that can be detected for the MCU."

There are two filters at the PTA5 pin.

Digital filter (disabled by default / configurable) and a passible filter (enabled by default).

The passive filter is specified in the DS, Table 16.
