Hello  ,

Board:S32G399RDB3
I am working on integrating HSE and enabling it .I wanted to know the following
1.What will be the outcome if HSE FW and its backup is corrupted when its enabled.

2.What happens if HSE FW is erased from its primary and backup location.
Whether it could lock the chip or how is it handled .

Thank you

Hello, @Prithviraj_k

Thanks for the feedback

From my opinion, you may directly flash it to the corresponding external storage like flash/SD, before resetting the board, the HSE may still work with the old firmware, after reset, it will work with the FW you just flashed.

Thank you for the response,

When HSE Firmware is corrupted or erased and while reflashing the HSE Firmware whether we need to do any steps to Disable HSE or flash directly as a part of blob .And the reset the board ?

Thanks for your post.

Sorry that I may misunderstand your request, if so, I apologize.

From my opinion, once the HSE FW is corrupted or erased, at that time, if HSE FW has been loaded to the HSE engine, and the HSE is enabled, no impact on the functionality before rebooting the system. If HSE FW has not been loaded to the HSE at that time, then there would be issues enabling the HSE, the HSE engine could not work correctly.
