Dear Team,
Is there any way to download(program) elf file into exteranl QSPI Flash in SAC57D5XX Halo EVB with S32DS ARM??
Is there any example linker file for external QSPI flash?
I'm trying to port GHS pjt demo to S32DS. The demo uses both internal flash and external flash. And I can program binary compiled by GHS to flash by Lauterbach. However, the elf file compliled by S32DS is not able to be downloaded by Lauterbach.
I attaced linker file that I used.
Thanks,
Best regards,
John Yoo

Hi John,
Thanks for the question.
S32 Design Studio for ARM - Pemicro debugger does not currently support programming of an external QSPI flash.
I logged this request into our feature database so the product management team can consider it in the project planning cycle.
Which EVB board are you using?
Anyway could you possibly share the original GHS demo project including the Lauterbach scripts?
This will help us to find the issue related to flash programming of S32DS elf file with Lauterbach probe.
Thanks!
Stan

Hi Stanislav,
Thank you for your reply.
I'm using MAC57D5MB + MAC57D5-516DC or MAC57D5-208DC.
When I build demo on GHS and download elf file to internal flash by T32, it works fine. And I also build it by S32DS and download elf file to internal flash by S32DS with PE micro, it works fine.
However, the elf file from S32DS is not able to be downloaded into internal flash by T32 with same script.
I will share the demo pjt for both GHS and S32DS by email. Let's talk about it at IM and email.
Thanks.
Best regards,
John Yoo.
Dear NXP team.
I think the cheapest&easy develop environment configuration is next:
S32DS + PE Micro(Internal flash & external QSPI algorithms)
P&E's NXP Kinetis MAC57D54H Flash Programming, Debug, and Test
And Can I get the MAC57D54H SDK specified in the next article?
