Hello,

I am booting my QoIQ T4240RDB using Freescale SDK 2.0 but kernel hangs with the following error.

This is my shell to start QEMU in Linux Ubuntu 14.04 LTS:

sudo ~/nxp/run/QorIQ-SDK-V2.0-20160527-yocto/build_t4240rdb-64b/tmp/sysroots/x86_64-linux/usr/bin/qemu-system-ppc64 \
-cpu e5500 -nographic -m 1024 -M ppce500 \
-kernel ~/nxp/run/QorIQ-SDK-V2.0-20160527-yocto/build_t4240rdb-64b/tmp/deploy/images/t4240rdb-64b/uImage \
--initrd ~/nxp/run/QorIQ-SDK-V2.0-20160527-yocto/build_t4240rdb-64b/tmp/deploy/images/t4240rdb-64b/fsl-image-core-t4240rdb-64b.ext2.gz \
--append "root=/dev/ram rw console=ttyS0,115200 \
ip=26.26.26.2::26.26.26.1:255.255.255.0 mem=1024M ramdisk_size=500000" -serial tcp::4444,server,telnet -net nic,model=e1000 \
-net tap,ifname=tap0,script=no,downscript=no

When telnet to QEMU Guest, this is booting logs:

~$ telnet 26.26.26.1 4444

I have tried to recompile in QorIQ-SDK-2.0 and boot from SD Card on my T4240RDB board but I always get the same error message.

Shall I use a different rootfs or change something in QEMU command or somewhere?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Ho Sy Tan.

SDK 2.0 documentation contains recommendation for KVM/QEMU building:

http://www.nxp.com/assets/documents/data/en/supporting-information/QORIQ-SDK-2.0-IC-REV0.pdf

Do you use these recommendations for QEMU building?

Have a great day,

Thanks for your reply, Pavel Chubakov.

Do you have any idea when I deployed the results (uImage, rootfs) to T4240rdb-64b board and it have the same errors.

When I booted from sd card on T4240rdb-64b board, I got the same issue:

Does it relate to qemu or something went wrong?

Please help me resolving my problem.
