How to Enable USB wifi Dongle for LS1012A in linux kernel

Hi,

We are using LS1012A FRDM board. We want to configure usb wifi dongle Edimax EW-7811Un. After connecting USB dongle to LS1012AFRDM board I am getting following messages in kernel log during bootup.

hostap driver initialization failed.  
wlan0: interface state UNINITIALIZED->DISABLED  
wlan0: AP-DISABLED   
hostapd_free_hapd_data: Interface wlan0 wasn't started  
Starting system log daemon...0  
Starting kernel log daemon...0  
Starting internet superserver: xinetd.

As can be observed form above log hostap driver initialization is failing so kindly suggest How to resolve this issue.

Look at attached file.

It is snapshot from SDK 2.0-1703 kernel menu for the LS1012a FRDM board.

This file shows supported WiFi board.

Hi Pavel,

Thanks for the information.

I have done the required configuration in kernel config for Edmax wifi

dongle (realtek 8192cu). please go through attached file.

I am getting following messages. Details log file attached

1. IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready

2. hostap driver initialization failed.

3. cfg80211: Calling CRDA to update world regulatory domain

So please help us to resolve above errors
