TJA 1043, Clamp.15 Application

Hello,

I want to use the TJA 1043 in an application with Clamp.15 because it has advanced diagnostic capability
Will I have problems when I use the TJA 1043 in Clamp.15?
Does the CAN transceiver act passively when the power is off?
Does it have a negative effect on the BUS line in the vehicle?

Hello Ömer,

If VBAT, VCC, VIO are disconnected, the TJA1043 is in OFF mode (please refer to the AH1014) and the function is OFF & CANH, CANL are high impedance, then.

Due to high impedance of CAN ports, no influence to other ECUs connected to the CAN network.

(In Sleep or Standby, CANH, CANL are biased to GND. So, CANH and CANL pins should have load resistance of Ri; 9k to 28kΩ.)
