Data Rate 2000 kbit/s fail, the value is 0.77< 0.8
Data Rate 1000、500、250 is pass. What can I try?
Hello @jingfang
Hope you are doing well.
Just to confirm, are you using a FRDM-KW38 board or is it a custom board? Which SDK version are you using? Also, what is your test method?
Please, take a look at the FRDM-KW38 RF System Evaluation Report for Bluetooth LE Applications, this document includes the test setup description and the tools used to perform the tests. Section 3.18 depicts Modulation characteristics using a CMW equipment to measure the frequency deviation, the flashed SW, test method and test results. Table 17 shows the modulation characteristics at 2Msps.
Regards,
Eduardo.
FRDM-KW38 board or is it a custom board all fail, report as follow:
SDK:2.6.15
Wireless_example:bluetooth->hci_bb->freertos->hci_black_box_freertos
Hi,
Could you please provide more details about your test procedure?
By any chance, did you modify the original black_box source code?
Regards,
Eduardo.
The tool use Anritsu MT8852b.
Whether the test results will be affected?
Hi,
I appreciate this information. Could you please confirm if you added any modification to the base source code of hci_black_box?
How are you performing the modulation test? What is the test method you are following? Is it possible for you to share with us a picture of your test setup? (Please refer to RF System Evaluation Report, Section 3.1.1).
I apologize for insisting, please take a look at the FRDM-KW38 RF System Evaluation Report for Bluetooth LE Application for more information on the RF Evaluation, test setup, procedures and results.
Regards,
Eduardo.
Hi,
I appreciate the details.
Just to confirm, what is the sequence you are following to enable/configure 2Msps PHY? Could you please provide more details on why are you doing these changes to the trimming value?
By any chance, do you have the logs of the different transactions/transmissions you have done?
Please, do the same test using a FRDM-KW38 board and share with us your results and a picture of your new setup. After this I can try to reproduce this behavior on my side.
Could you please try the test sending more packets? You can try with 1500 packets.
Regards,
Eduardo.
I use auto and manual function, test all fail.
Auto : set 2M,start;
Manual: Set 2M,Set payload 10101010,Set Tigger Internal RF,Start;
Set payload 11110000,Start;
Is there a necessary order? I can try again.
if no change :trimming value, the test value is -40, it doesn't seem very reasonable.
I have test kw38 demo board,attached is the report,it is fail.
I test 1500 packets ,it is fail, about 0.75;
I test 5 packets too, fail ,about 0.76.
Hi,
Could you please provide your HCI logs? With this information we can try to reproduce this behavior.
Regards,
Eduardo.
Hi,
A log that includes the details or the output during the test process (for example sent commands and responses), either by your Test Set (equipment) or Test Tool / software, would be very helpful.
Could you please help us with more details about this binary file? Which software are you using to generate it? How can I open it?
Regards,
Eduardo.
Use:Bluetooth low energy Measurement Software
I can't see that information in a graphical interface.
binary file:
You need to use the unzipped file to extract it, which can be burned directly into the demo board to test.
Hi,
Thank you for the clarification.
Nonetheless, we need the commands you are sending to your device and the responses you are receiving while executing this test in order to identify any issue and, if possible, try to replicate this behavior.
Regards,
Eduardo.
Could you please help verify the bin file I provided and test the result in your office?
Hello,
I apologize for insisting, we need the HCI log in order to try to identify the behavior or any issue.
Please, consult the operation manual of your software/equipment to check how to capture and save internal logs.
Regards,
Eduardo.
