Freescale's Digital Networking products (e.g., QorIQ, QorlQ Qonverge, C29x and Layerscape architecture) incorporate a high-performance cryptosecurity engine called the SEC. In this session, we provide a brief overview of the SEC hardware capabilities, then cover the SEC's programming model, virtualization capabilities and supporting enablement in the SDK, including the SEC Descriptor RunTime Assembler, use within Linux® kernel and user space for IPsec and SSL. Examples will be provided for QorIQ and the C29x public key co-processor. The SEC enablement roadmap for the SDK will also be discussed.
