Hi,
Customer reports that S12ZVMx Toolbox v1.3 is not compatible with Matlab 2017a. S12ZVM toolbox cannot be found in Simulink toolbox library. Would you please help to confirm if s12zvm toolbox could work on Matlab 2017a? thanks.
Best Regards
Tony Zhang
Hi faweiz,
Officially, the S12ZVMx Toolbox v1.3 was validated/tested on the following Matlab releases:
- R2013A, R2013B, R2014A, R2014B, R2015A and R2015B
- 32-bit and 64-bit
Since the toolbox was released on November 27, 2015 - those were the only Matlab options at that time.
Nonetheless, the toolbox can be also installed on the 2017a and can be used for code generation.
The only option that "might" not work is the Processor-in-the-loop simulation due to changes in the Matlab environment.
In regards with the main question: "S12ZVM toolbox cannot be found in Simulink toolbox library" i presume it is a simple to fix Matlab glitch.
Please have a look at this: https://community.nxp.com/message/915480?commentID=915480%23comment-915480#comment-911873
Also, keep in mind that you:
1: need to successfully install a Toolbox license prior of seeing in it in the Simulink library;
2: need to execute the mcd_s12z_path.m script from toolbox root directory to setup the environment;
Hope this helps!
Daniel
Hello Daniel,
"The only option that "might" not work is the Processor-in-the-loop simulation due to changes in the Matlab environment."
Maybe we have this problem with PIL under Matlab 2017a. Please See https://community.nxp.com/message/1339034
Will MBD-toolbox for S12Z be developed/supported further or not? Because we have to decide whether we go with S12Z or not.
Thanks in Advance!

Tony
