MPC5744P-144DS Expansion Board

Hi,

I am having MPC5744p based evaluation board, MPC5744-144DS (144LQFP Expansion board).

Can somebody tell me how do i mount the microcontroller on to the Holder on this board?

There are some tools provided with this board, Is there any document that explains how to mount the microcontroller on this Holder?

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the response.

In your board you are using BGA package microcontroller. I am having LQFP package microcontroller.

Is the procedure same for both, Should i simply place the microcontroller into this holder and start working?

Basically the answer is yes. But, please read first the:

to ensure you have set the jumpers on board according to your needs.

Hello,

I am not sure if I understood you correctly.

But you just pick micro and place it into the socket. First pin on micro is marked with dot and there is small triangle on the board with U1 mark. Dot and triangle must match.
