Hi,
I'm doing a HW rework design about a board that use the microcontroller SPC560B60L7 of STMicroelectronics. I want update the design using a NXP microcontroller. I have seen that this device is similar to the MPC5606B, but I would like to know if the 2 IC are pin-to-pin compatible. In particular, is it possible to replace one component with the other one without modify the electrical connections already present on the board?
The complete part number identified are: SPC5606BF1VLU6 (of NXP) and SPC560B64L7C6E0X (of ST).
Thank you,
Regards.
Hi, could you provide MIDR registers' content ot the ST part?
Hi,
Actually I can not read the MCU registers. The complete ST part number used is SPC560B60L7C6E0Y:
- Flash memory 1MB
- Package LQPF176
- Execution speed 64MHz
Thank you.
Considering what we are offering on our web as available-
Mentioned SPC5606BF1VLU6 has smaller temperature range -40 to 105 °C.
SPC5606BK0MLU6 could be better option, it has the parameters, but it is slightly different device. Differences are fully described in the following appnote:
https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN4477.pdf
With the same package all devices should be pin-to-pin compatible, regarding mask set or device revision, I cannot comment, because I don't know ST part.
