How to wake-up MPC5748G on vehicle ignition?

Hi,

What is the best design if I want to wake-up 5748G from stop mode while vehicle key is turned to IGN? Is it possible to wake it up through GPIO?

Have a look at a system base chip power supply for the microprocessor you're using, such as the MC33908 series, or the newer FS6500.

These have proper protection for the microprocessor, can generate reset connections, handle wake-up properly and perform other ECU functional and safety requirements.

You can connect the IGN line to the I/O on the system base chip and it will provide appropriate power supplies to your microprocessor to start it executing software.

Hi Andrew,

Our application shall be 12V/24V compatible. So we want to make sure that the suggested SBCs (i.e. MC33908 and FS6500) support 24V system. We studied their documents and found in different docs contradictory infomation.

In doc "Safety Manual for FS6500 and FS4500" it says:
