problem with nxp lpc 11u24/301: can't open virtual com after running cdc usb rom driver

hello everybody,

i am experiencing problems with my nxp lpc11u24/301 microcontroller:
i run the usb cdc rom example found at:

on my nxp lpc11u24/301 to let the usb port work as virtual com but after installing the driver provided by nxp support and visualizing correctly the virtual com i cannot open the port with a serial data analyzer or any other software.
i imported the entire usb cdc rom folder and the building is correct and so it is the debugging.

what's wrong with my port?

i use windows xp as os.
