Why is LPC546xx ISP mass storage stable only when the file name is firmware.bin?

Sometimes, we can update the firmware by other file names, such as 1.bin, abc.bin, firmware1.bin...etc.

Sometimes we will fail. And found that all flash memory is 0xFFFFFFFF.

What are the rules for LPC546xx ISP mass storage firmware update?

Hi @seanzhou

In this case the  .bin should be named firmware.bin only :

Please take a look at this excerpt from the chapter 3.1 Loading applications using USB mass storage boot (MSC class) mode (LPCXpresso546x8 boards only) from the LPCXpresso546x8/540xx/54S0xx Board User Manual:

4. Drag and drop the new binary file to the drive. Note that this new file must have the name firmware.bin, otherwise the file seems to be transferred and program but in fact it is not.

Best regards,

Diego.
