LPC17xx serial number format

Hello,

has the serial number of the LPC uC some format?

In our case, we need to distinguish between LPC1766 and LPC1768 (these devices are identical except for FLASH size).

What I read through IAP call is eg. F50020C7 5A675E1A AF258887 1401000D

Have those numbers some specific meaning?

Ok, I've found there is IAP command called "Read part identification number" with IAP command code 5410. However, due to specific circumstances, we need to distinguish the LPC17xx part without this command. We have only device SN accessible. The question is whether the part ID is somewhere hidden inside of the device SN. When I compare the hex values of part ID and device SN I cannot find any similarities. Any idea?

Yes, as Con Verse said, there is no relationship between part ID and serial number.

You must use IAP command 54 - Read part id number. AFAIK, there is no relationship between part ID and serial number.
