Hello,

While I am trying to programme the flash I've got the above error message.

I have checked my license which has been activated.

Please find attached files which are generated from a diagnostic mode.

I have also included a log file from .metadata folder from my workspace.

Please could you help me with this issue.

Regards,

David

Check read permissions in the LPCXpresso license directory in  \User\Public. Also, some virus checkers do not allow the script engine to run. This is required.

Thanks and regards,

I have a full permission on \User\Public. Regarding virus checker, my colleague has same virus checker as me and it works fine in his PC. It is managed by my company, so virus checker configuration should be exactly same.

Is there anything else I can try to solve this issue?

Could you also please explain the above Flash error message about  Download limit is 8K (UNREGISTERED)?

Thanks,

David

Hi David,

Did you register your LPCXpresso IDE installation? The 8K limit is the default in this tool if the tool isn't registered. Go to help > activate from the menu of the IDE to do this.

Again, MCUXpresso IDE doesn't need this ... I recommend trying this!!

regards,

Brendon

I did go to help > activate (Free edition).. and all went ok and I got a welcome page in the IDE saying LPCXpresso IDE (Free Edition) is fully activated and can be used to generate and download applications containing up to 256KB of code to an LPC target.

My target code is just above 100KB.

Hi Brendon,

Thank you for your reply.

I'm using LPCXpresso V8.2_650.

My image size is 173KB and I'm using a LPC11U24 development board.

Please see a message when I tried to program a flash below:

Ni: LPCXpresso RedlinkMulti Driver v8.2 (Sep  5 2016 10:12:38 - crt_emu_cm_redlink.exe build 725)

I don't know why it says that 8K limited even though LPCXpresso IDE says as follows:

LPCXpresso IDE (Free Edition) is fully activated

Welcome to LPCXpresso IDE (Free Edition). The software is now fully activated, and can be used for production. LPCXpresso (Free Edition) can be used to generate and download applications containing up to 256KB of code to an LPC target.
Note that I have check cscript in the command line, and it seems to work fine.
Thanks for your help. Please let me know if you need to know anything else.
Regards,
David

One more thing to mention. I registered a license on NXP website as well.

Hi David,

you didn't specify the tool used, but I am guessing LPCXpresso IDE? If so it could be that you are trying to flash an image of >256KB, which would require a Pro license. I would recommend moving to MCUXpresso IDE which provides the same functionality (assuming you are using a Cortex-M device) and does not impose any code size limits in the free version.

regards,

Brendon
