Hi,
The MKM14Z128CHH5R is not recommended for new designs and a new part is offered as its replacement, the MKM14Z128ACHH5R. Can anyone explain the difference and the meaning of the 'A' suffix. Would this alternative part have any major impact on designs using the original MKM14Z128CHH5R?
Thanks
Jon
Hi Jon,
parts with 'A' suffix have the following improvements:
Description | MKMxxZxxAC ('A' suffix) | MKMxxZxxC (original) |
---|---|---|
RTC 1Hz clock output edge generation with fine resolution | on both rising edge to rising edge and falling edge to falling edge | on rising edge to rising edge only |
Typical internal voltage reference temperature drift across full temperature range | 10 ppm/°C (ICOMPEN control bit introduced enabling second order curvature compensation) | 18 ppm/°C (ICOMPEN control bit missing) |
errata 6665: limitation of the device operating range | fixed | present |
Kind regards,
Martin M.
