MK10 family: doubt on ADC resolution for single ended channels

I have a doubt regarding the resolution of ADC single ended channels of MK10 microcontrollers: can I achieve a 16 bits conversion result on single ended ADC channels?

On page 36 of K10 Sub-Family Data Sheet  I have read that 16 bits accuracy can be achieved only on differential channels (ADCX_DP0, ADCX_DM0)

On page 576 of K10 Sub-Family Reference Manual I have read that ADCx_CFG1 can be set to achieve a 16 bits single ended conversion

I need to clarify about this issue in order to choose properly the MCU

Regards, Gabriele

Hi Gabriele,

Yes, you can use single ended channel input and achieve accuracy 16 bit on Kinetis K10.

Regards,

Pavel

Just another question: is it possible to achieve the 16 bit accuracy on all the ADC inputs or only on ADCx_DP0, ADCx_DM0?

Thanks, Gabriele

I have the same question,

is it possible to achieve the 16 bit accuracy on all the ADC inputs or only on ADCx_DP0 ???

Is it possible to achieve 16 bit resolution using the ADC of the MK10DN32VFM5  chip ?

• Yes, it is possible. All single ended inputs of ADC can be used with 16 bit resolution.

• Output modes:

     differential 16-bit, 13-bit, 11-bit and 9-bit modes

    single-ended 16-bit, 12-bit, 10-bit and 8-bit modes
