Hi All,
I've been developing for MC9S08LC36 and over MQX on the MCF52233, and so far I had very satisfying results.
But my boss is a bit concern about portability of our firmwares, and was even considering not using MQX at all on our next big project, and moving to a different microcontroller, maybe from Texas Instruments.
I've learned recently that MQX is available for the Kinetis Family, which is ARM, off course.
In this case, is it reasonable to assume that the MQX would work on other ARM platforms? Are there similar ARM (Cortex M4) microcontrollers from other companies that would demmand little or no addaptation on the MQX drivers?
Don't get me wrong, I don't wish to abandon Freescale. On the contrary, it would help me make my case for Freescale, making my boss more confortable in choosing MQX - Kinetis combination.
Thank you all for your help!
Have you studied our MQX web page? Start with that, and then I would contact a Freescale representative to find out what ARM platforms MQX supports.
