When i connect the board to the front USB port (i've tried both) the green LED that indicates that the board is working doesn't turn on.
I've been trying turning it on while pressing the reset button and it works, but the LED blinks 8 times repeteadly and supposedly that indicates error.

Also, the board doesn't show up when connecting, only shows up when connecting it in bootmode (only the bootloader appears).

I used a virtual box with windows 7 and tried to update the boot and it doesn't do anything, the problem still persists.

If someone could help me with this i'd really appreciate it, thanks.

Hi @Ricky1

You probably need a real Windows 7 machine to update the P&E bootloader on it, see

I hope this helps,

Erich

No, it is not broken, but older bootloaders on such boards get confused by Win8 or later host OS. Details in the mentioned article.

I've been trying many times but when i copy and paste the BOOTUPDATEAPP and then disconnect and connect, it doesn't start blinking.
It keeps doing the same, if i keep the RESET button pressed before connecting the LED will start blinking like before (8 times and then stopping, not at 1Hz), but if i don't press anything before connecting, the LED won't turn on.

Are you using a Windows 7 machine (native, not VM)?
