Does the KL25 require a crystal to run?

In a small application, I am considering to replace the existing TI MSP430 with a Kinetis KL25 - twice the memory at half the price is just too tempting.

The current application does not require a crystal, and given the tiny size of my board (and the extra cost), I am not eager to use one. Can the Kienis KL25 (and others from the KL1... and KL2... series) be used with an internal oscillator? If so, what is the tolerance of the oscillator? What is the maximum processor speed with an internal oscillator?

Of course, this is RTFM, but to be honest: the Reference Manual has rather confused than enlightened me.

yes, you can run it with the internal reference clock (no external oscillator needed). You need an external crystal on the KL25Z if you want to use USB.
