Good morning

The document is referring to some K40 sub family. I don t understand the presentation of the Memory and memory interface on the first page of the document.

Since the DX devices support the FlexMemory, I need to understand where it is located.

The document says : Up to 512KB program flash memory on non FlexMemory devices.

Up to 256 KB program flash memory on FlexMemory devices.

Up to 256 KB program FlexNVM  on FlexMemory devices.

                               ....

This means a ..DX256.. device has 128KB of program flash AND 128KB of FlexMemory/FlexNVM ,

while a ..DN256.. device has 256KB of program flash And NO FlexMemory.

Is it correct???

Thank You

Hi Pietro,

You can find helpful this application note about FlexMemory (AN4282).

What the document is saying is:

Up to 512KB program flash memory on non FlexMemory devices.

This mean that the devices without FlexMemory (N devices) just with Program flash (P-Flash) can have up to 512 KB of this P-Flash.

Up to 256 KB program flash memory on FlexMemory devices.

Devices with FlexMemory can have up to 256 KB of P-Flash an normally the same amount of FlexNVM.

Up to 256 KB program FlexNVM  on FlexMemory devices.

The devices mentioned above (devices with FlexMemory) can have up to 256KB of FlexNVM.

A note in this document says:

Kinetis family device part numbers indicate only the size of the P-flash block, therefore the size of the FlexNVM is not explicitly listed in the part number. For example an MK60X256 device has 256 KB of P-flash and 256 KB of FlexNVM.

I hope this information can help you.
