Hi,
I want to order tower K60 from IAR. They will provide an IAR J-Link Lite for Cortex-M debug probe.
At the same time, I would like to evaluate KEIL. Can I use same debugger from IAR for also KEIL?
Thanks.

it doesnt support IAR J-link - when you try to download program - it detect the IAR tool, give back negative message and doest continue with the download
Hi
Keil uVision4 supports the J-Link / J-Trace from Segger. The IAR J-Link Lite is a low speed J-Link from Segger with IAR branding (but fast enough for most work).
Keil uVision4 (lastest version) also supports the inbuilt OSJTAG interface (as do all IDEs with Kinetis support) so will work without any external debugger.

Mark
Do you know that Keil also supports IAR J-Link Lite?

Thanks Lukas for this feedback.
Hi Lukas
Interesting. This sounds as though uVision is actively rejecting the J-Link with IAR branding since other programs don't seem to care whether it is a high speed J-Link, low speed J-Link or an IAR packaged one of these.

P.S. I'll have a try with an old IAR J-Link Lite once I get back from holiday....
Hi,
I asked ARM about this today and was told the following:-
If the J-Link in question is branded as Segger it will work, if it is branded as IAR, then the embedded IAR firmware stops it from working with Keil MDK. (So MDK is capable of using it but IAR won’t let it happen...).
Hope that clarifies.
