Hello,

Our project has two models (versions). About 70% of the UI is the same for both models, and the rest is different. We want to register the gui guider folder in the project file as a sub-module and develop both versions at once by changing branches.

The issue is whether we need to create the common 70% of the UI twice. We tried to copy the screen (left) and paste it into another GUI GUIDER project (right), but it's not working. Is there a way to copy screens or import the common UI to another project? We tried using the import function in the file, but the existing screens disappeared.abs_setian_0-1715942975395.png

Hello @abs_setian,

I truly understand your requirement and think it's a valuable feature, but unfortunately such feature is not supported by current version of GUI Guider.

There're some workarounds that hopes could help you:

  1. creating a project contain all common widgets then create two model projects based on this common project, in this case you only need working on the different part of two models.
  2. if you already built one project and want to move common part to another projects, create a new project based on finished one then edit different part directly or cut the different part and make it as base project to create new model projects.
  3. using preset style to save all common widgets' style, then apply to another model project, in this case you need to do all size, layout and attributes setting.

We will consider adding saving full screen as new feature in future release.

Have a nice day.

Best Regards,
