Hello Jian Li, yes, Excel and all other VBA-enabled applications are natively constructed for ActiveX/COM+. It would probably be possible to get some ActiveX/COM+ object which implements the TCP connections and JSON-RPC and use it to connect to FreeMASTER, but this would be unnecessarily complex.

Hi, Michal: Many thanks for reply. I am trying to commercialize iMXRT1050 in my pump and like to use Free Master as a tool in debug, prototype and field upgrade firmware. What is the best tool to write to and read a few hundred parameters from the embedded processor in field commissioning? I thought Excel file with ActiveX/Com+ via Free Master is a good approach, is ActiveX/Com+ obsolete a problem? Could Free Master 3 flash program RT10xx processor like it does to M56F8xxx DSC? Is there any plan to add this function in future Free Master? If not, is there any other tool available for field programming for RT10xx family?
Hello, please re-post this same question to the forum so it is simpler to find by other users. The short answer is that unfortunately, the FreeMASTER does not support access to Flash memory yet. There are some custom ways to achieve it and also some future plans that I will describe in the answer.
Thank you,
Michal
Hi there
I'm new to using freeMASTER & would appreciate if someone can help with following
1. How to use a command line to issue START command to freeMASTER to start with logging. For our test application running NI labview, command needs to be issued to freeMASTER to start the data logging. The unit under test is connected to PC through USB port and at power up embedded code will start with internal checks on unit & start outputting messages on USB com port. The power up is done using labview code.
2. Once data is logged need to save logged data to excel file. Please help on how to save data to excel file.
Thanks
Vinod
