Hello Sir,
Currently in our custom design we are using LS1021A processor for this we are using two different DDR part number, and tRCD,tRP(min) is 12.5 for one DDR3(part number: IS43TR16640C-125JBLI) and tRCD,tRP(min) is 13.75 for another DDR3L(part number:IS43TR16128CL-125KBLI).
In general standard voltage for DDR3 VDD and VDDQ should be 1.5V and DDR3L VDD & VDDQ should be 1.35V is this right?
If we are using two different DDR parts so how to do DDR calibration with this, i have gone through the QCVS DDR Tool User Guide. but i couldn't get any information with two different ddr parts.
thanks in advance,
Ramesha S P
It is not good idea to mix different memory part numbers on one board. If you mean that different DDR3L part numbers are used on different boards, but you want to have the same software for both board types, you have to use settings of the slower DDR3L devices. In your case you have to use tRCD,tRP(min) = 13.75ns, so both are 11 Tck at 1600MT/s bus data rate.

Thanks for your reply Bulat,
Could you please provide how to configure DDR configuration for each DDR(different part number) using tool,
and also provide me which tool i need to use for DDR configuration for LS1021A processor.
Earlier i use to do ddr calibration for i.MX6 processors but i don't know for LS1021A settings and configuration.
Please provide some instruction and tool in detail so i can speed up my work.
Advance Thanks,
Ramesha S P
The tool is called CodeWarrior, its 'specialist level' version provides DDR validation tool. Here is user guide for the tool:

Hello,
I am trying to do DDR validation(read & write) in our custom board using codewarrior evaluation tool.
But i am not able to do validation and not sure which ddr calibration file i need to consider assigning in uboot in our source code.
Please provide me information whether we can able to do DDR calibration using codewarrior evaluation tool or do we need to procure licence version.
