Hello,
for which device are you looking for? CodeWarrior supports S08 devices.
Erich
hi,
....MC68HC08AB16A!
which is in s08(cpu08) family.
REGARDS,
PEIMAN SH.
So then can you use that device?
From the tools/compiler perspective there is really no difference between HC08 and HCS08.
Erich
you say right man but there is only MC9HC08A devices in HC08A family, when I want to create a project!
I think MC68HC08A is legacy mcu that is not in cw10.6 any more.
maybe I must insall cw6.3 that is not supported in win7-64bit...
do u have any idea?

Greetings,
Erich Styger is correct in that P&E does have a USB-based debugging pod that works with the MON08 chip family, including the MC68HC08AB16A. By using P&E's product, you also are given free MON08 software to flash program and debug your chip. Here is a link to the debugging product:

Here is the software freeware, but you will still need Codewarrior to develop and compile your code:

There are work-arounds as Xin Kuang has mentioned with installing CW6.3 and if you plan on using P&E tools we have USB drivers and an unofficial patch I have created for P&E customers to get their P&E hardware working for older Codewarrior classic software on Windows 7 64-bit machines. Here is the FAQ and downloads that you will need:

I hope my answer was useful for you.

The classic CodeWarrior v6.3 does not support Windows 7. It supports Windows® 98 SE/2000/XP/Vista 32 bits. Below is the link for more details:

There is a completed workaround to install and use it on Windows 7 64-bit machine, please refer to the document below:

However there is a P&E driver issue. Customer must download the V10 from P&E web site too.
I have Win7 64bit and no CW6.x any more, as this has been replaced with Eclipse based tools many years ago.
I think the bigger problem will be to debug this HC08 device, as I believe it is using Mon08 interface. You probably even need a PC with a parallel interface as many of the Mon08 debug cables were with Parallel ports. But there was as well a USB based one from P&E. Probably you will need an old XP machine.
Good luck!
