My MC69S08JM16 project works well using internal clock generation, what is required to change to use an external crystal as the CPU and bus oscillator?
You will need to run the MCG module in either FEE or PEE mode. The later would be required for USB operation. The datasheet will explain these operating modes, and the method of initiating them.
