freescale codewarrior clarification

Hi all,

i have this clarification i am using freescale codewarrior IDE. But in some places i am finding the metroworks Codewarrior. what is the basic difference between or are they same? could someone please clarify me on this i am really getting confused.

Hi Satya,

In the past Metrowerks (Software only) was an independent department of Freescale company.

Several years ago (don't remember exactly the date, but before 2007), Metrowerks was integrated in Freescale.

At the end it was decided to keep the name CodeWarrior.

To resume using the products you could meet several names:

      Metroweks, CodeWarrior, Freescale, Motorola (SPS) and Hiware(or Hi-Wave)
