I'm trying to understand the difference between MC68HC705C8ACFB, and MC705C8ACFBE. One is obsolete, and the other is NRND. Are they the same part?  There is no datasheet that defines this detail that I can find.

the MC705C8ACFBE is the RoHs compliant part for the MC68HC705C8ACFB.

I found a very old document that can help you to understand the change to lead-free

Thanks Vicente! I actually found what I was looking for under FREESCALE PRODUCT BULLETIN 11431. It shows that this was the number scheme for the lead free migration.
