Help me in selecting the most suitable controller

Hello,

I am not able to select the most suited 8-bit controller with the following facilities,

1. J1850-compatible byte data link communications module (BDLC)

2. LCD driver

3. Stepper motor driver - For this now I am using pulse width modulator.

I am using MC68HC908LJ24 for another project, but this controller will not support J1850.

Please help me in finding a suitable controller.

Hello,

Very few MCU are compatible with this very very specific protocol.
The 16-Bit MCU MC9S12DJ128 covers J1850.

LCD could be dealt with via I/Os

Stepper motors are handled on the H family. So S12XHZ or older S12H.

Thank you very much for the suggestion, but for my application a 16 bit controller is too much because the inputs that i give to the controller are very less in number and are less complex.

So can you suggest me any 8 bit controller with J1850 and pulse width modulator.

This product is widely used but may be expensive...

Depending on the volume you will need for your production, it may be possible...

I am going to use this controller in two wheeler cluster with a custom made LCD and a stepper motor. Will the controller suggested by you be OK for this application.
