Embedded developer being new to SJA1110 and ethernet switch functionality.
The NXP SJA1110 is an automotive Ethernet switch with safety capabilities built in, offering integrated 100BASE-T1 PHYs, hardware-assisted security as well as multi-gigabit interfaces. The SJA1110 can be used via SPI from any other microcontroller. Together, this solution provides a flexible and powerful hardware for 2-wire (100BASE-T1) and multi-wire (100BASE-TX) Ethernet. The SJA1110 includes also an ARM Cortex M7 which enables it to do packet inspection or other tasks that use Ethernet or simple GPIO.
