ADC Accuracy Issue for Low Voltage Readings on RT1176.

Hello,

I am using the ADC in the RT1176 controller with a 1.8V reference voltage. I am able to read values above 15.2mV correctly, but values below 15.2mV are not read accurately. Could you please help me understand what might be causing this issue and what the minimum value is that the ADC can reliably read?

Thank

Hi @Pavankumar1 ,

Thanks for your interest in NXP MIMXRT series!

NXP doesn't provide information on the minimum readable value of the RT1170 ADC, but according to the design specification of the ADC, the results you mentioned are unlikely to occur. The error will not be as large as the one you have tested because it is based on its LSB. The error can be minimized by calibrating the application before testing and averaging multiple measurements. It is also recommended to test with an official EVK first to rule out hardware effects.

Best regards,
Gavin
