Do any jumpers need to be changed on the RT1050-EVKB to use the 20 pin JTAG as opposed to J28 (USB)?
I did move the power to J2 and set the proper jumper.

Solved! Go to Solution.
This could be an issue... DNP everywhere that matters
And tightly between J21 and J22/J24
BlackNight I wonder if I can use the "OpenSDA JTAG" that pin out looks better...
Nope looking at the schematic they are totally different :smileysad:
Now to see if my rework wizard can perform some magic and add those resistors
Tom
That "OpenSDA JTAG" is for programming/debugging the K20 (OpenSDA debug interface), not for the target processor.
Yeah I saw that.
I figured out my previous problem... the probe was in JTAG mode, not SWM
Moving forward ever so slowly... but it is FORWARD! :smileyhappy:

That is a good thing to have, but did not solve it for me.
I will talk to my tools supplier to see what else I may need.
I may have to send them a board to test the probe with.
I will likely send them my RT1050-EVK, since it is not supported by the current SDK.
Thanks
Tom
Hi Tom,
yes, you should remove J32 and J33 (see MCUXpresso IDE V10.1.0 with i.MX RT1052 Crossover Processor | MCU on Eclipse). It could work without this, but I have found depending on what the OpenSDA circuit does, it is better to have it isolated.
I hope this helps,
Erich
