Is it possible to operate the Fusion F1 DSP integrated in the RT595 at a different clock frequency than the M33?

For instance, having the M33 run at 100 MHz and the DSP at 50 MHz.

Thank you.

Hello @adc_6_6,

The PLL of RT595 provides an alternate high-frequency clock source for the Fusion DSP CPU if the required frequency is different from the main system clock.

You can see the clock distribution in the chapter 6 called "Clock Control" in the Reference manual. Additionally, config tools could be help you switch to these frequencies.

Also, if you experience any issue, do not hesitate to let me know.

Hello @Habib_MS

Thank you for your response.

I understand that it is possible to operate at different clocks.

Is there anything specific I need to be particularly careful about in this case?

Hello again @adc_6_6,

Does not exist a particular specification that you have be careful. Only remember that the maximum clock frequency of both is 200MHz, as shown the next diagram:
